The Team

Darrel Sandall, PhD

CEO and Founder

Dr. Darrel Sandall is an experienced corporate executive with 15 years as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Scientist. He has also served as a United States delegate for the ISO 56000 – Innovation Management standards, and as a founding member and former member of the Board of Directors for the International Association of Innovation Professionals. He is also a Management and Innovation Consultant with over 25 years’ experience helping organizations solve some of their most challenging problems.

Prior to his current position, Darrel served as a professor of management at the Florida Institute of Technology with numerous peer-reviewed publications. Prior to that, the Chief Operating Officer of Xtreme Alternative Defense Systems, LTD.  In his role with XADS, Darrel managed the daily operations and government contracting of the company with an operating budget of over $10M.  He also managed the intellectual property portfolio and provided strategic leadership for the growth of the company.

Before serving as the Chief Operating Officer of XADS, Darrel was a faculty member in the Department of Technology Leadership and Innovation at Purdue University.  Prior to being on faculty at Purdue, Darrel was the Chief Skills Officer (CSO) for SkillsNET Corporation, one of the 500 fastest growing companies in the United States in 2006 as recognized by Inc Magazine.  As CSO, Darrel managed the research, development, and implementation of the personnel science solutions provided by SkillsNET, and was involved with developing and implementing technology-based manpower, personnel and training solutions for corporate and governmental clients, including numerous multi-million dollar contracts for the U.S. Department of Defense.  Additionally, he was a co-inventor of systems and methods covered by 13 patent applications.

In his career, he has worked with clients such as the Federal Aviation Administration, the European Union, M-i SWACO, CitiFinancial Mortgage North America, the U.S. Navy, Army, and Marine Corps, the Canadian Combined Armed Forces, First Hawaiian Bank, the State of Florida, Texas State Technical College, and the School District of Lee County.
